Captain America #200 (1976)

Captain America #200

As a kid, I didn’t usually buy Captain America comics, but I couldn’t resist this bicentennial issue in 1976. Cap and Falcon save America from the “mad bomb”! It was a great comic with the crazy action and characters that Jack Kirby was known for. (I still love how his artwork seems a little too big for the panel or cover that holds them.)

Cap in action!

Contest #1: Besides being one of my “bronze age” purchases as a kid, this comic has something else that ties it to this blog. The first reader who responds and posts the answer for what this connection is wins a free “Free Comic Book Day” comic. I have a few you can choose from. (I’ll even pay the postage.)
