A very strange issue. But even as a kid, I liked it. I liked the “Hunchback of Notre Dame” theme.  I liked the “steam punk” elements (although that term hadn’t been invented yet in 1977).  I liked the questions about what makes a human “human.” (Can an android be human? How about a robot?) I liked how Batman was always getting his butt saved by the Metal Men or Green Arrow. (Usually it was the other way around.) Interesting characters and an interesting story.
