The Thing and Tigra are captured by the Cougar, who wants to use the Null Bands to steal Thing’s power. This is mostly a sci fi action story, but two interesting twists are at work here. One is the connection between the Cougar and Tigra, both members (more or less) of the Cat People from the Land Within. The second is the love affair that scientist Sheila Conklin has for Paul Ranklin, not realizing he is really the Cougar in disguise. When she founds out she has been duped … look out!
