Daniel Defoe’s classic novel adapts to the comic book format fairly well. It helps that the Marvel Classics Comics were longer, 50+ pages, than normal comic books. The comic book format was also easier to read than the smaller digest format (like this one). Of course, it also helps that Robinson Crusoe is THE adventure story, one of the earliest novels in the English language.
